As a lifelong Dolphins swimmer, Coach Billy brings a familiarity with the program that is matched by none. Born in Athens, GA in 1987, and raised in a swimming family, Coach Billy was a member of the powerhouse Dolphins teams of the 1990s which captured four consecutive City County titles. During this time he contributed to the team's success by winning a number of individual events at the championship meet as he came up through the ranks. As one might imagine, his contributions were instrumental to the success of Athens swimming in the Georgia State Meet during these years.

However, fast swimming was not all Coach Billy is known for. As a result of his positive energy, leadership, and outstanding support of his teammates, he was selected to receive the Jimmy Kurtz award in 2005. Since retiring from swimming following his Senior year of High School, Coach Billy has been working with the Developmental Groups of the Athens Bulldog Swim Club, and is well known for his ability to help younger swimmers become excited about the sport.

Coach Billy is currently a senior at the University of Georgia majoring in Finance.
